Description

Eleven trial pits were excavated by a JCB with a narrow toothed bucket. No clearly identifiable archaeological features were encountered. Although two features might tentatively be identified (in test pits 507 and 503), these were very shallow, their fills could not be clearly distinguished from the subsoil and neither yielded any evidence of date.
