Description

Archaeological evaluation at Crankley Point was commenced in advance of the proposed development of the [sewage works]. A series of eleven 1m test pits were laid out in this area at 40m spacings. No archaeological features were found within the test pits. Context 0003 [is] an ancient (Iron Age) ploughsoil which has been considerably cut into by later ploughing (C19).
