Description

Geophysical survey of the proposed area for development, W of the gatehouse. Grid 26m x 20m, readings measuring the electrical resistance of the ground were taken every metre. A zone of high resistance readings along the N of the grid might represent wall foundations [or] the presence of rubbish. The results indicate there is little of archaeological interest relating to the medieval or later building complexes present. (1) See E9087 for Field observation.
