Description

Magnetometer survey was carried out within the western part of the survey area in an attempt to locate further traces of the ditches of the cropmark sub-rectangular enclosure (L445). The magnetometer survey failed to reveal any anomalies of archaeological significance. The same area was resurveyed with a resistivity meter. … Two small roughly circular anomalies might indicate features of archaeological origin. No geophysical anomalies were detected which might indicate an extension of the cropmark enclosure into the area surveyed, perhaps due to the strength of of the anomalies caused by geological variations. (1) See E9013 for fieldwalking. See E9007 for cross refs to A453 improvement scheme evaluations.
