Description
Three of the circular grass marks (seen on an AP of 1975) were examined with two trenches (T02 and T03, 20 x 3m each) positioned at right angles to their respective courses. There appeared to have been no human disturbance of the alluvium or the sands and gravels. A local farmer recalled the field had been notable for the huge rings of mushrooms that grew here. (1)
See E9088 for trenches 01 and 04.
