Description

The replacement and relaying of the old paving on the path immediately N of the church of St. Mary Magdalene involved digging out a maximum of 0.2m of ground and revealed no significant archaeological deposits. The rebuilding of the wall along the N edge of the path revealed up to 0.75m of soil, largely disturbed, presumably by burials. (1) Grid ref for W end of path. See E9025 for salvage excavation to south of church.
