Description
A 75 x 2m trench was excavated along the NE edge of [geophysical survey] area B. The trench was widened to a 5x10m box towards its W end to investigate a possible archaeological anomaly. Four 1x1m test pits, 20m apart, were excavated along the NE edge of the trench to establish the sub-ploughsoil stratigraphy and to investigate the vertical distribution of finds. … No features were observed.
