Description
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during water mains replacement in the area of the villages of Ranskill, Mattersey and Lound. . ... Area 1. Within the historic core of the village of Mattersey; consisting mainly of Main Street, Retford Road and Job Lane. … the majority of the mains replacement was carried out using thrust boring and pipe bursting with only minimal use of open cut trenching. No archaeological features were observed. (1)
