Description

An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during water mains replacement in the area of the villages of Ranskill, Mattersey and Lound. . ... Area 7. A section of Blyth Road between Blyth and Ranskill. Thrust boring techniques were used to replace the water main in this area resulting in the exposure of only small sections. Natural red sand was revealed below road make up deposits although no archaeological features were encountered. (1) See E9150 - E9155 for the other WB areas. Grid ref at E end
