Description

Each field was systematically walked over and searched for artefacts on the ploughed surface. Traverses were spaced only 10m apart. Individual findspots of artefacts dating to medieval and earlier periods were plotted using a theodolite. There were no such finds in field 2. (1) See E9083 for geophysics
