Description

From the report it would seem that the 'archaeological evaluation' consisted of digging four machine trenches through the archaeology, then looking at the sections to see what layers and features had been present from what remained in section. No attempt appears to have been made to observe, let alone record, the features in plan before the 'evaluation' destroyed them. (1) (2)
