Description

The initial geophysical survey entailed a 1ha area of magnetometry centred on L1779. The results were very disappointing, failing to show even the two enclosures, so further use was abandoned. A resistivity meter was tested in its place, on L1770 and L1777, carried out by P Strange. A further transect was done by Geo-Services International, who also tested another device, the EM conductivity meter. At this site the resistivity meter is the most effective instrument. (1) See E9200 for evaluation excavation.
