Description

The intention was to record the stratigraphy after the excavation of footings for new buildings and the cleaning of selected lengths of the trench sides. … Extensive recent cellars appear to have destroyed much of the potential archaeological strata in this area. Islands of undisturbed archaeology may survive between these cellars and offer potential for subsequent investigation. (1) See E9203 for nearby excavation
