Description

A trench running N from (the site of) Broom House was stripped of topsoil to look for any features cut into the subsoil. The trench was 1.3m wide and 65m long. The base of a woodern post was found inserted into the subsoil … the only other features were N-S plough scores. (1) See E9217 for fieldwalking. See L11572 for site of Broom House.
