Description

Continuous trenches were excavatated along both sides of Northgate, between the Lincoln Road viaduct and the junction of Northgate and Queen's Road … 0.5m wide … a depth of 0.5m deepening at intervals to 0.8m where junction boxes were to be situated or test holes dug. (1) Grid ref for S end of trenches.
