Description

The beam trenches were excavated to a depth of 0.45m and a width of 1m, with a toothed bucket, revealing modern building rubble and made up ground surfaces. Along the W beam trench and a central one at 90 degrees to it, the remains of a modern brick wall formed a low baulk. No archaeological features were present. (1) See E9171 for evaluation which produced medieval features on the site.
