Description

The installation of the metered bypass involved the excavation of a trench c.4.5 x 3m and 1.3m deep. For the mains extension a 90mm diameter pipe was laid in a trench c.0.35m wide and c.0.9m deep. Excavation was undertaken using a small toothed bucket on the back actor of a JCB. (1) Grid ref for W end of trench.
