Description

Prior to the re-paving of Church Walk (South), an excavation was undertaken. Hand tools were used by the archaeological team to remove all material to an adequate depth (0.25m below the existing surface) to allow repaving to commence. All archaeological remains were recorded by measured drawings at appropriate scales and photographed. (1) Grid ref for W end of area. See E9264 for CLAU excavation to W, E9248 for JSAC excavation to W.
