Watching brief undertaken during ground works connected with the laying of an electricity cable through the village of Upper Broughton. The watching brief took the form of six site visits. None of the trenches produced any features or artefacts of archaeological interest, however the trenches were excavated to a maximum depth of 0.5m and there is the potential for survival of archaeological deposits at lower levels.
