Description

Watching brief during ground works for an extension to W.M. Morrison's Supermarket. The study area was c.14m x 1.5m and lay mainly behind an existing set of steps. Of the area studied, most of the stratigraphy appeared to consist of made up ground and redeposited material. Any archaeological deposits may have been destroyed during the supermarket construction.
