Description

Construction of an extension to the vestry block, a french drain and the reduction of floor levels. Area A - a rectangular area approximately 5.8 x 2.6m was excavated to a depth of c.0.3m deep. A deeper foundation trench 0.75m wide was excavated around the edge of the area to a depth of 0.9m. This was to provide foundations for the extension. Area B - the channel for the french drain around the present organ block was 18in wide and 18in deep. This channel was surrounded by a narrower channel 0.10m deep and 0.50m wide. The floor of the organ block was lowered by 0.20m for a concrete floor to be laid. (1) NB no locations are given for the separate areas.
