Description

Geophysical feasibility study to determine the response of the local soils and subsoils for magnetic survey. The survey area comprised four fields. The height of the crop precluded regular and consistent magnetometer scanning. No strongly burnt features indicative of former limekiln or tile kiln sites were identified during the study, although it must be stressed that owing to the severe restrictions on access imposed by the standing crop, their presence cannot be discounted. (1) See E9306 for trial trenching.
