Rapid magnetic scan arcoss the whole of the application area followed by up to 1ha of detailed survey to further elucidate the nature and extent of any anomalies identified by the scanning. No indication of the presence or location of either the palaeochannel or the in-filled ditch. The only other anomalies are 'iron spikes' which are caused by ferrous objects such as old nails, horseshoes or other ferrous rubbish in the topsoil.
