Description

Phase 3, the removal of the topsoil and the underlying peat deposits exposed a buried land surface which extended across the majority of the phase 3 area and sealed the basal sand and gravel deposits. 8 hollows in the surface of the natural sands were investigated. (1) Grid ref for Hollow 112. See E9424 for Phase 1, E9423 for Phase 2.
