Description

Watching brief undertaken at Sutton Grange, Lound, prior to and during mineral extraction. Topsoil and overburden were stripped in two phases. The archaeological objectives were to record by drawing and photograph: any cultural archaeology surviving as features cut into the subsoil. Some of these features were observed in plan, although the speed of stripping works combined with the need to preserve safety on site prevented recording. (1)
