Description

An archaeological watching brief was carried out during ground works associated with the demolition of public toilets within the grounds of SAM 3, Newark Castle. The watching brief recorded a concrete raft, beneath which was a layer of modern hard core makeup. No finds or features of an archaeological nature were encountered and the work was not at a sufficient depth to have any effect on the SAM. (1)
