Description

While helping to construct an extension to a property on Mansfield Road near St. Andrew's Church, Mr Robert Howlett noticed the remains of a clay lined pit in the side of one of the machine dug foundation trenches. Mr Howlett was able to rescue the remaining fill of the pit before it was buried by the construction work. The home owner wishes the precise location of the site to remain anonymous. (1)
