Description

The test pit (ref BG13TP7) was a 1x1m square to a depth of 36cm on the lesser green, dug by hand in 10cm spits; all spits were 100% sieved and all spits were recorded on context sheets, including finds. A plan was drawn, and a photo taken, of spit 4 showing a cobbled surface. (1)
