Description

The excavation of two small trial trenches at Brough immediately to the north of the present road line were carried out during 1990-1 to assess the state of preservation of remains within the Roman town of Crococolana. Trench 1 was sited immediately to the NW of the present line of the Fosse Way, at approximately SK 8737 5849 (sic - should be SK 8377 5849). Trench 2 was located adjacent to the modern road line at approximately SK 8378 5848. (1) (2)
