Description
Watching Brief during installation of telephone cable box into an excavated hole measuring 0.6m x 0.5m, extended to the south to remove a 0.4 x 0.7m slab encountered during excavation. A modern wall was uncovered in the extension to the hole. Final hole was L-shaped and measured 1m x 0.8m x 0.5m. No undisturbed archaeological or geological stratigraphy was seen and no dateable artefacts other than modern buildings materials were recovered.
