Description

Watching brief at Lombard Street, Orston, Nottinghamshire during the construction of apartments by Nottinghamshire County Council determined extensive modern disturbance across the site and determined the potential for undisturbed archaeological remains was low.0.2-0.3m of redeposited modern disturbance was observed overlaying natural substratum in 3 x 1m square test pits. A water storage tank or well, probably of 19th century date uncovered.
