Description

Trial Trench 03 inside the farmhouse to the northern end, revealed medieval masonry. 0.75 x 0.8m trench in the interior of the farmhouse to the north east part. Medieval masonry was found at a depth of under 2m below floor level, under a thin dirty layer of ash, coal, and mortar. Two flat stones and the remains of a third were set out in a line and set into lightly cut natural clay.
