Description

This Heritage Statement considers land, approximately 3.9 hectares in extent, at Ash Farm, Cockett Lane, Farnsfield, Nottinghamshire. It has established that development within the site will have no direct or indirect impacts upon any designated heritage assets. There are also no non-designated heritage assets recorded on the Nottinghamshire Historic Environment Record within the site, and no assets in the surrounding area whose significance would be affected by development within the site. The report contains a summary of evidence from the Nottinghamshire Historic Environment Record and English Heritage’s National Heritage List for the study site and a 1km radius; A summary of the results of an archaeological geophysical survey undertaken on the site in April 2013. The geophysical survey of the site did not identify any anomalies likely to be of archaeological significance. A review of relevant features visible on historic maps for the site and surrounding area are present in the report.
