A programme of desk-based assessment was undertaken to determine the archaeological implications of proposed development on land to the north of Wellow Road, Ollerton. A 2km area centred at the site has been assessed. A range of documentary sources were consulted to inform the study, local historic buildings are considered, a map regression exercise took place as well as a site visit with modern photographs. The report concludes that site is likely to host significant prehistoric – Roman ar-chaeological remains.
