Description

This assessment considers a site measuring approximately 27ha located at Eakring Road, Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire, which is being proposed for a solar farm and associated infrastructure. The report identifies that there is some pre-historic and Roman archaeology in the surrounding area but there is no evidence of this present at the site, therefore the report established that the physical impact from the proposed development would be minimal. The assessment includes the results of a site inspection, an examination of published and unpublished records and charts historic land-use through a map regression exercise with accompanying maps and modern photographs.
