Description

Seven trial trenches (1.8m x 10m) with a total area of 1182m squared were excavated. Placement of the trenches informed by the previous excavations conducted by TPA in 2006. The trenches were placed in order to understand the Iron Age enclosure ditch and associated features. Five of the trenches yielded archaeological features (which contained no datable finds), and two contained the remains of modern truncation.
