Description

A geophysical survey by magnetometry was undertaken prior to the submission of a planning application for a residential development on land north of Abbey Lane in Aslockton, Nottinghamshire. The geophysical survey has identified a complex of linear, curvilinear and pit-like features relating to previous anthropogenic activity. The main area of interest lies in the centre of the site with further associated features to the south and southwest. The morphology of the features and evidence from the vicinity of the site suggests that these anomalies are likely to represent settlement and agricultural features of later prehistoric to Roman date.
