A geophysical (magnetometer) survey, covering approximately 17 hectares, was undertaken on land at Newark Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield Nottinghamshire. The magnetic survey has detected large areas of magnetic disturbance towards the north of the site. Some geological anomalies have been detected across the site, as have two service pipes. Tentative anomalies that may have an archaeological origin area also present but they may also be natural. Overall the archaeological potential of the site is low.
