Nottinghamshire Community Archaeology and Blue Skies Community group organised and took part in a fieldwalking survey to learn new skills and identify archaeological evdience with a focus on the medieval period. The field chosen lies between the two historic settlements of Mattersey and Mattersey Thorpe. The survey produced little evidence from the medieval period, the majority being poste medieval pottery and material relating to land drains.
