Description

The site is located off Bowbridge Road, 1.6km to the south-east of the centre of Newark and 1.6km north-west of Balderton. Archaeological monitoring was undertaken in three phases for a total of eight days occurring on August 8th– 12th, 19th, 24th and 26th 2016. An area approximately 1 ha in size was stripped of topsoil to investigate the potential for any archaeological remains. No finds, features or made ground were identified during archaeological monitoring.
