Description

The site consists of a number of rectangular fields of around 4 hectares. Prior to the site visits, the internal hedgerows had been removed. The project involved the supervision of overburden removal and other groundworks by an experienced professional archaeologist during the works. The southern part of the site had been stripped and tracked upon before any archaeological supervision could be undertaken. An examination of the tracked areas revealed no obvious archaeological features. The central and northern parts of the site were stripped under archaeological supervision, but no archaeological features were observed. No artefacts were retrieved during the examination of the spoil heaps.
