Description
In the light of the results of the Phase 1 archaeological evaluation, it was decided that supplementary evaluation work should be carried out in the area of a large field of permanent grassland lying in the north of the quarry site, south of Mons Pool. In total, 7 further trenches (Trench 9-15) and 3 areas (A5-7) were excavated. (1)
