The site itself is located off Ollerton Road to the North, heading into the Walkers Industrial Estate on the Western side of Tuxford. The survey totalled c. 6.53ha. The magnetic survey was carried out using a dual sensor Grad601-2 Magnetic Gradiometer manufactured by Bartington Instruments Ltd. Readings were taken at 0.25m centres along traverses 1m apart. The survey recorded a number of isolated anomalies which could form pit like features, however, a more natural reason cannot be ruled out.
