Sarah Lucy conducted a geophysical survey in November, 1988, of the area of known cropmarks. Resistivity readings were taken at 1m intervals within 20m grid. ……. This revealed no convincing correlations with cropmark features and no systematic variations which might imply other archaeological features, probably because of the highly variable texture and dampness of the sand and gravel subsoil.
