Full Description

While this resembles ridge and furrow, the furrows are much more like ditches. The high banks around the edges may be there to retain water or to keep it out. This may be a field system that combines warping with ridge and furrow. Flax production may be involved. There are fishponds alongside the road to the north, with an associated linear hollow that may be an old hollow track. (1)
Furrows/ditches filled in by owner April-May 2008, but still visible on air photos. (2)
