Full Description
PILLBOX (TYPE FW3/22)
Hexagonal. Concrete with a brick outer skin and brick two-thirds of the way up internally. Concrete lintels and embrasures. Originally a brick pillar now removed.
The pillbox fell into the River Trent early in 1999 when the river was flooded. All that can be seen when the river is low is the roof of the pillbox. (1)
