PILLBOX (TYPE FW3/22)
Half buried concrete pillbox. (1)
A partly buried World War Two pillbox noted on the Defence of Britain Database located at "Hucknall Aerodrome", Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, SK 526 464. It formed part of the defences of RAF Hucknall. The type 22 pillbox was built of concrete, according to the Defence of Britain record it was constructed between 1940-1941. It was reported as extant and in fair condition in 1998. (2)
