Full Description

Large brick-shuttered hexagonal pillbox of a variant form (designed for the site). Some brick-shuttering falling away. Low entrance (faces S) with embrasure over. There is a porch (partly destroyed). Embrasures on all sides. [RAF Watnall was Fighter Command's 12 Group HQ]. Watnall airfield, near Common Lane at a railway cutting. (1)
