Full Description

In contrast to the marked clustering of Romano-British pottery, the pattern of Medieval sherds is rather more dispersed. The random distribution and worn appearance of Medieval pottery over all of the fields most likely indicates that the sherds were deposited by manuring. (1)
See M4291 for associated SMR entries.
