Full Description

Over burden was machine excavated along a strip down the east side of Phase 2 to provide an access road. Two further strips were excavated at the northern and southern ends of the area to provide approximate east – west long sections. In the Southern strip a linear feature c. 4m wide and running for c. 90m approximately east-west along the trench was revealed in plan. A 19th century well marked on the OS map was also observed. (1)
